ROVER P4 100 1962 Family owned from new inc (Doctor)

These later P4 100s, enjoyed some very usefull upgrades from there predecessors, now fittted with the new improved 2.6-litre seven bearing engine and the introduction of the Girling front disc brakes, this example has the Individual front seats and with the benfit of the Overdrive gearbox there was little else to offer such quintessential british luxury motoring

DXX affectionately know as (Dixy) was puchased new in 1962 by Charles Burney Catnach of Highgate London. Dr Catnach ran a practice in Peterbrough, a real Rover patriot he owned three P4,s according to his son: this one remaining in the family right up to his death and the sale of the estate when we purchased the car direct from the son

With just 40,000 recorded miles, Family owned and substantial and interesting history file, the decision was taken to have the car completely re-painted due to paint fading (all glass out with doors and bonnet removed) 98% of the chrome has been re-plated and the engine bay show detailed in keeping with the rest of the car

Five new Avon speedmaster tyres have just been fittd, car fully serviced with all oils changed, new heavy duty battery and stainless steel exhaust are fitted. Prices for the 6 cylinder P4 Rovers have really firmed up over the last few years but still a bargain when compared with same period Jaguar and these were much better built cars.
