Morris Minor Split Screen original factory convertible 1952. Finished in a very attractive camel stone with as-new all red upholstery and contrasting soft top. Fully refurbished by Morris Minor specialist a few years ago to a very good standard, with particular attention being paid to the panel gaps on an all-steel car. The original 803cc OHV engine was, to be fair, rather underpowered and a popular and indistinguishable mod. as on this example the fitment of the later 1098cc allowing the car to keep up with modern day traffic.
The underside is rock solid and in fine order; recent new exhaust fitted and all protected from the elements with a good coating of wax oil. Full oil service just carried out and new battery. Nice touches being, still has the factory fitted air cleaner and tortoise style steering wheel and the innocence and simplicity of the dashboard is simply charming in a world of switches and dials.
Coachwork and chrome all in superb condition as per photos, flashing indicators and front seat belts fitted. Interior is absolutely first class with lovely as new cream hood frame and red soft top.
It's not hard to see the appeal of the Morris Minor as a popular classic car choice - they are just so easy to drive and just as happy tootling around the village or driving down Kensington High Street. Prices have remained firm, especially the early split screen convertibles that offer the best of both worlds.
Comes with a full year's MOT at the point of sale, owner's handbook, V5C registration and ready for immediate use.
