Triumph Roadster 1800 1948 with dicky seats. Finished in Mason Black along with contrasting black leather upholstery and a particularly fine polished walnut dashboard displaying full jaeger instruments. The all-alloy body is in very good condition, with well fitting flush doors and the black coachwork that holds a deep gloss with just a few minor blemishes at the rear but overall nothing that detracts from a fine looking motor car and certainly nothing in our opinion that needs any immediate attention. The bulbous all steel front wings remain sharp and true and are still fitted with the factory inner mud flaps.
All the chromework clearly looks to have been replaced or re-plated and presents in very fine condition especially against a black background. Black hide bench front seat with the centre fold down arm rest designed by Triumph to seat three in the front when needed. The black mohair hood is without doubt one of the best condition and correct fitting that we have seen in a long time - this would be very expensive today if you had to replace it along with the wood frame. Stainless steel exhaust fitted and all factory tools present on the bulkhead clips.
Supplied by us some 24 years ago to a lovely gentleman - a real classic car enthusiast. During his ownership the car has been well maintained having had the gearbox rebuilt by specialist with minor engine work included and routine servicing. Since its return recently we have overhauled the brakes due to little recent use and carried out a full service. Photos show the car a few weeks ago at a local car event where it received a lot of admiring glances and we feel at the very competitive asking price this would be a hard car to match in today's market place.
