Messerschmitt KR200 1961 Attractively finished in duck egg blue with superb unmarked navy blue upholstery, a combination that works so well and is absolutely period correct.
Professionally restored a few years ago by specialist from the bare shell upwards that included fully re-built Sachs engine that is hardly run in - inspected and authenticated by the Messerschmitt owners club with written letter on file along with photos of the build . Still retains its original three number three letter registration and of course is now tax and MOT free.
Driving is very straightforward with conventional pedal arrangement ie clutch, brake, throttle. 12 volt electrics with key start, and a nifty little 4 speed gear lever that simply moves back and forward.
A very clever and well thought design is the way the driver’s seat lifts back to enable one easy entry and then drops back down to full fighter pilot position to where the fun begins. Make no mistake this little car is a hoot to drive, you literally can’t stop smiling the moment you climb aboard - certainly gets the attention of other road users and parking is never a problem again.
Sweet little picnic hamper mounted on the rear carrier along with a lift up trunk to reveal the engine and spare wheel. Owners handbook, restoration photos, club mags, and the modern V5c. Fully sorted car ready for immediate use so it’s tally ho, chocks away and you’re off.
